Ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, a new international song and music video is calling on millions of people around the world to join together in a global moment of remembrance and solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people.

“The Whole World Sings Together," created and produced by Friends of Zion Heritage Center founder Mike Evans, was produced and filmed in Israel and brings together voices from 17 countries around the world.

Participants in the project come from the United States, Israel, China, India, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, Hungary, Iran, Yemen, Germany, Argentina, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, and Mexico.

Despite their different cultures, languages, histories, and realities, their voices come together around a single message: Israel and the Jewish people are not alone.

The project was inspired by “We Are the World," the song written by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson and produced by Quincy Jones. In 1985, the song brought together more than 40 leading American artists as part of USA for Africa and became a global symbol of compassion, unity, and collective action.

Four decades later, Evans is seeking to create a new global moment through music, this time centered on Israel and the Jewish people. In 1985, the world sang together for Africa. In 2026, the world is being called upon to sing together for Israel.

“October 7 cannot become just another date that disappears with time," Evans said. “We want the entire world to remember the lives that were cut short, the families that were shattered, the hostages who suffered, and the wounds that many still carry. Music allows us to give hope to the Jewish people and say something simple: You are not alone."

The lyrics of “The Whole World Sings Together" reflect the central message of the project:

“The whole world sings together,

Standing with you face to face,

From the ashes comes tomorrow,

From the morning comes the light,

We will walk beside you always,

Through the darkness into light."

The music video seeks to demonstrate how music can connect and build bridges between people who may not share a language, culture, or homeland, but who can nevertheless share a common human message.

From the United States to Israel, from Europe to Asia, and from Africa to Latin America, participants in the video seek to choose remembrance over forgetting, presence over silence, and hope over despair.

Evans is calling on people in Israel and around the world to watch and share the video and play “The Whole World Sings Together" on October 7 as part of a worldwide moment of remembrance and solidarity.

The initiative aims to create a global moment in which millions of people in different parts of the world can raise their voices together through music to express remembrance, love, solidarity, and support for Israel and the Jewish people.
