Ramapo Police Expand Technology Training Ahead of New Body Camera and Drone Programs
Members of the Ramapo Police Department’s supervisory staff participated in specialized administrative training Monday as the department continues implementing several new law enforcement technology systems.
The training focused on Axon Evidence.com, a digital evidence management and storage platform that will be an integral part of the department’s rollout of new Axon body-worn cameras.
According to Ramapo Police, Evidence.com will also play a key role in managing the department’s TASER 10 program, the upcoming rollout of the Fusus public safety platform, and the integration of Skydio DFR Command with Evidence.com.
The department said keeping pace with rapidly evolving law enforcement technology requires extensive training and preparation. Supervisors worked with Axon trainers Aaron Buckmister and Jim Morgan as they prepared for the implementation and management of the new systems.
Ramapo Police said the various technology initiatives share a common goal: providing officers with better tools to perform their duties safely, effectively and responsibly while improving service to the community.
“Smarter Technology = Safer Officers and a Safer Community,” the department said.
