“DON’T RELEASE HIM — HE’S A TERRORIST!” Dramatic Video Emerges From Flydubai Jet In Saudi Arabia
Dramatic new footage has emerged showing the tense moments aboard the Flydubai aircraft after it made its emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, with the alleged Omani terrorist restrained as those around him insisted he be handed over only to police.
“Don’t release him, he’s a terrorist! We only need police here,” voices can be heard saying on the aircraft’s ramp in Tabuk following the emergency landing.
The video provides a new glimpse into the immediate aftermath of the attempted terror attack, after passengers helped overpower the Omani copilot accused of stabbing the captain and attempting to bring down the aircraft.
The pilot can be seen lying on a stretcher, with visible injuries to his head and chest. Medical and security personnel surround him, including a Hebrew-speaking individual who notes that the suspect is bleeding.
At one point, someone raises concern that the knife allegedly used to stab the captain might still be nearby. Others respond that the aircraft is already safely on the ground and instruct personnel to ensure the suspect is tightly secured to the stretcher.
The footage shows those aboard remaining intensely vigilant even after the immediate danger had passed, refusing to relinquish control of the suspect until official Saudi security personnel arrived.
Those present repeatedly insist that the alleged attacker be transferred exclusively into police custody and not released to anyone else.
Asked about the suspect’s condition, one of the individuals says he had already been restrained in that position for approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
“He can’t go anywhere. He’s secured with us,” the individual says.
The footage also shows the evacuation of the injured captain for medical treatment following the ordeal.
Israeli officials said Thursday that investigators examining the alleged attacker’s social media accounts found material indicating that he had been radicalized by jihadist ideology and had discussed killing Jews.
An Israeli official said the suspect also reportedly asked Emirati crew members to kill him after he was subdued, further strengthening suspicions that he intended to carry out a suicide attack by bringing down the aircraft.
