Rockland County Law Enforcement Liaison Hershy Margeratten hosted his annual Sukkos gathering Wednesday afternoon, welcoming law enforcement officials and community leaders from across Rockland County and beyond to his sukkah for an afternoon of appreciation, friendship, and unity.

The annual gathering has become a Sukkos tradition, providing an opportunity to recognize the men and women of law enforcement for their dedication throughout the year while continuing to strengthen the close relationship between local agencies and the community.

Among the agencies represented were the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Ramapo Police Department, Spring Valley Police Department, Clarkstown Police Department, Stony Point Police Department, Orangetown Police Department, Haverstraw Police Department, Upper Saddle River Police Department from New Jersey, the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, and the Town of Ramapo Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP). Captains from Rockland Hatzoloh were also in attendance.

Also attending were Ethan Erlich, Director of Security for the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County’s Rockland Community Security Initiative, and Rafi Silberberg, Deputy Chief of Staff in Congressman Mike Lawler’s office.

Rabbi and philanthropist Duddi Farkash, founder of Chabad of Olympia Monsey, served as the guest speaker, delivering remarks focused on the significance of Sukkos, gratitude, unity, and the strong relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Chaverim Of Rockland Coordinator Yossi Margeratten joined his brother Hershy in welcoming the guests and thanking members of law enforcement for their continued service and partnership with the community.

The gathering once again highlighted the strong relationships built over the years between Rockland County law enforcement, emergency organizations, and community leaders.
