Oct 5, 2026·2 min read

Spring Hill EMS has announced it will host a new EMT-B training course in partnership with Aura Prep beginning in January 2027, offering aspiring emergency medical technicians a flexible hybrid program with both online instruction and hands-on training in New Hempstead.

The program, which runs from January 19 through May 20, 2027, will feature live online lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 19 through March 30. Students will be able to choose between a 10:00 AM–2:00 PM session or a 6:00 PM–10:00 PM session.

Hands-on skills training will take place at Spring Hill EMS headquarters, located at 48 Brick Church Road. The in-person sessions will be held Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM beginning February 7.

Students will also have opportunities to complete required ride-along hours and patient contacts aboard Spring Hill ambulances, providing real-world experience alongside the classroom and skills portions of the course.

The course is open to the public. Spring Hill EMS is also encouraging those interested in pursuing EMS service locally to apply to join the organization, which describes itself as Rockland County’s only volunteer 911 advanced life support agency.

Those interested in registering can visit auraprep.com/RTI and select Spring Hill Ambulance as their skills location.
