MIDTERM MONEY WAR: Republicans Amass $1 Billion War Chest With Election Less Than A Month Away
Republican political organizations have assembled an extraordinary campaign war chest approaching $1 billion as the November midterm elections enter their final weeks, pouring enormous sums into competitive House and Senate races across the country, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.
MAGA Inc., one of the largest groups supporting Republican candidates and President Trump’s political agenda, had approximately $416 million available by late August and dramatically accelerated its spending during September.
Texas has emerged as one of the most expensive battlegrounds, with Republican groups spending more than $100 million as both parties fight over races that could determine control of Congress.
Republicans hold a financial advantage overall, while Democratic organizations have also amassed hundreds of millions of dollars for advertising, turnout operations and competitive races.
The November 3 election will determine control of Congress for the final two years of Trump’s current term, with both parties treating a relatively small number of competitive races as decisive.
