
Rabbi Reuven Margolin, the head of the National Sofrus Center of Ukraine and one of the pioneers of Jewish revival in Dnipro, Ukraine has passed away on Wednesday, 26 Tishrei, 5787.
He was 60.
Reuven, a native of Dnipro, Ukraine, who returned to Jewish observance under the guidance of the Head Shliach of Dnipro – Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzki, passed away early Wednesday morning.
With the support and encouragement of Rabbi Kaminetzki, Reuven Margolin had become the Head Sofer of the Dnipro’s Jewish Community and the director of the National Sofrus Center of Ukraine. supplying many Ukrainian Jewish communities with much needed Sifrei Torah. He established the biggest Judaica online store in Ukraine providing thousands of Ukrainian Jews with tefillin, mezuzos, Jewish books and Tashmishei Kedushah.
Rabbi Margolin has trained many Sofrim that continue his work in Ukraine, Israel and around the world. He was instrumental in bringing many members of Dnipro’s Jewish community back to their roots.
He is survived by his wife Leah Margolin (Dnipro, Ukraine), and his children R’ Daniel Aharon (Crown Heights), Sara Margolin (Montreal, Canada), Dov Ber (Dnipro, Ukraine), R’ Chaim Dovid (Eretz Yisroel), R’ Menachem Mendel (Dnipro, Ukraine), as well as grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers R’ Shimon Ber (S. Francisco, CA) and R’ Benyomin Hirsh (Dnipro, Ukraine).

His son Daniel Margolin and daughter Sara Margolin are sitting shiva at 1617 Caroll street Thursday and Monday 2-4pm and 7-8pm.
