NETANYAHU TARGET IMAGE SPARKS ARREST: Foreign National Facing Deportation Over Suspected Terror Support

Oct 14, 2026·1 min read

Israeli police arrested a foreign national suspected of supporting terrorism after investigators discovered social media material showing her wearing clothing featuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face marked with a targeting symbol. Authorities announced Wednesday that the woman had been transferred for possible deportation.

The investigation began following a confrontation near Mitzpe Yair in the Chevron Hills several days earlier. Police officers responding to the incident identified one of the individuals involved as a foreign anti-Israel activist.

Investigators subsequently examined her activities and publications, discovering material they believed indicated support for extremist organizations, including Addameer, which Israel designated a terrorist organization in 2021.

Among the materials examined was an image depicting the prime minister with what appeared to be a crosshair over his head. Police detained the woman and questioned her regarding the publications and her activities in Israel.

Following the investigation, she was placed in custody and transferred Wednesday morning to the Population and Immigration Authority for a hearing ahead of possible removal from the country.
