REGIONAL ALERT: Report Says Iran Ordered Hezbollah To Raise Readiness
Lebanese security and military sources say Iran has instructed Hezbollah to raise its military readiness, as Tehran assesses that a regional confrontation may be imminent.
The sources told the Emirati outlet Erem News that Hezbollah is developing a more decentralized command structure, allowing units in the field to operate independently if they lose contact with senior leaders. The changes are intended to limit the impact of potential Israeli strikes targeting the group’s leadership.
The reported Iranian instructions are part of ongoing coordination between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its regional terror proxies. The sources said the preparations could enable simultaneous military responses if a new war breaks out involving Israel and the United States.
They stressed that Hezbollah views the instructions as preparation for a possible near-term scenario, not as a final decision to enter a war. The preparations, they said, go beyond the group’s traditional mobilization.
