ECONOMIC BRIGHT SPOT: Israel Leads Developed Nations With 4.5% Growth Forecast In OECD Report
Israel ranks first among developed nations in a new OECD economic growth forecast, with projected growth of 4.5%, ahead of Denmark at 3.7%.
The report also highlighted a historically low deficit and an increase in foreign investment in Israel, alongside the country’s leading growth projection.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich welcomed the findings, calling them a reflection of the strength of Israel’s economy and its citizens.
“The OECD growth forecast is a badge of honor for Israel’s economy and the citizens of Israel,” Smotrich said. “Even in the face of complex challenges, we have demonstrated that the Israeli economy is powerful, dynamic, and leads the developed world.”
Smotrich credited the figures to the government’s economic policies, saying the combination of strong projected growth, a low deficit, and foreign investment reflected international confidence in Israel.
“This historic figure, alongside the low deficit and the international confidence reflected in foreign investment, is no coincidence — it is the result of responsible, measured, and determined economic policy,” he said.
The finance minister pledged to continue pursuing economic growth, strengthening Israeli households, and securing the country’s financial future.
