REGIONAL WAR FEARS: Hezbollah Raises Readiness On Iran’s Orders, Adopts Decentralized Combat System
Hezbollah has reportedly heightened its military readiness following instructions from Iran, as Tehran assesses that a broader regional confrontation could be approaching, according to Lebanese security and military sources.
The terrorist organization has begun implementing a new combat system that gives field units greater independence in conducting operations. The changes are intended to reduce the impact of targeted Israeli strikes against Hezbollah’s central leadership.
According to the sources, the instructions were conveyed through ongoing coordination between Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its regional allies.
That coordination includes preparations for expanded fighting against Israel and the United States, as well as plans for simultaneous military responses should war erupt.
The Lebanese sources stressed that Hezbollah views the directives as operational preparations for a scenario that could unfold in the near term. They said the heightened readiness does not indicate that a final decision to launch a war has been made.
