IRAN STRIKE CAMPAIGN: Investigation Details 135 Attacks On Critical Gulf Infrastructure

Oct 15, 2026·1 min read

An investigation has found that Iran and its allied forces carried out at least 135 missile and drone strikes against 84 infrastructure facilities across seven Gulf countries since the war began on February 28, targeting equipment at airports, oil terminals, gas facilities and pipelines, according to Reuters.

The investigation examined satellite imagery, video evidence, official records and information from people familiar with the attacks. It found that Iranian forces repeatedly struck specialized equipment, sometimes measuring only a few meters across, whose destruction could prevent entire facilities from operating.

Among the facilities targeted was the Fujairah oil port in the United Arab Emirates, which was struck at least 19 times. Iranian strikes also damaged cooling equipment at Qatar’s Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas complex and pumping stations along Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline, disrupting alternative routes for energy exports around the Strait of Hormuz.

The investigation also found that Gulf governments frequently attributed damage to debris from intercepted missiles and drones, despite evidence suggesting direct strikes against sensitive equipment. Some facilities face lengthy repair operations, with several major industrial sites expected to require a year or longer before full restoration.
