The countdown has begun.
On October 19, over 100 women from 19 communities across the entire country and beyond—from Hawaii to Massachusetts, Florida to New Hampshire, Arizona to Tennessee, and New York to California, as well as many places in between, including Germany—will come together for JLI’s inaugural Land & Spirit Women’s Israel Journey.
For seven days, they will travel through Eretz Yisrael together. But this will be about so much more than seeing the sights.
It will be about coming home.
Created specifically for women, the journey is an invitation to experience Israel not simply as a destination, but as something deeply personal: to walk the Land of our ancestors, hear the stories of its people, and discover the connection between Eretz Yisrael, the Jewish people, and each woman’s own life.
Some will be experiencing Israel for the first time. Others have been there before. But surrounded by women from their own communities and new friends from across the country, everyone will have the chance to see the Land through fresh eyes—and discover a new part of themselves along the way.
Leading this extraordinary journey are the Rebbe’s Shluchos, the remarkable women who spend their lives inspiring and connecting Jewish women in communities around the world. Hailing from communities both large and small, and spanning generations and stages of life, they share a common purpose: helping every Jewish woman feel that she belongs. Over the past months, they have worked tirelessly, making the trip come alive for their women.
Throughout the week, they will pray, learn, laugh, experience, and celebrate together. What begins as a journey between Shluchos and their women will become a shared experience filled with friendship, connection, and memories that will last long after the plane lands back home.
And this year, being in Israel carries an even deeper meaning.
As we mark three years since October 7, the women will visit communities in the South touched by that dark day. They will hear directly from people whose lives have been forever changed and witness communities that continue to rebuild with extraordinary courage, faith, and determination.
These will be moments that stay with you. Forever.
As Mrs. Shaindy Jacobson, director of the Rosh Chodesh Society (women’s division of JLI) who is directing this trip, says:
“An itinerary can show you where you’re going, but not the feeling of walking in our ancestors’ footsteps, the tears of a prayer at a holy site, or the friendships formed between strangers who become so much more.”
And it certainly cannot explain what it feels like to stand in Israel, together with 100 Jewish women, and realize:
We are here.
In less than two weeks, these women will touch down in Eretz Yisrael as travelers.
They will return carrying something far more precious than photographs or souvenirs—new friendships, unforgettable memories, stories of courage, and a connection to Israel that will continue to grow long after they return home.
Sometimes a journey doesn’t just take you somewhere.
Sometimes, it brings you home.
This is that time.
