SATMAR IN UNITY: Both Satmar Kehillos in Monsey Announce Unified Bloc Vote Endorsements Ahead of November Election

Oct 18, 2026·1 min read

In a major development ahead of the November 3 general election, both Satmar Kehillos in Monsey have announced identical endorsements for four key races, presenting a united front among two of the area’s influential voting blocs.

The endorsements include Republican Congressman Mike Lawler for New York’s 17th Congressional District, Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul for re-election, Democratic candidate Joe Rand for State Senate, and Democratic Assemblyman Aron Wieder for re-election.

The coordinated endorsements bring both Satmar communities together behind the same slate of candidates, crossing party lines in several closely watched races.

The announcement follows a series of political endorsements from prominent Kehillos across Monsey, including Mosdos Pupa, which announced its support for the same four candidates earlier this week.

With Election Day approaching and early voting beginning October 24, the unified endorsements add another development to the political landscape in Rockland County, where community voting blocs have long played a role in local, state, and federal elections.
