From Rosh Hashana until Sukkos, three groups of Yeka staff traveled from city to city, bringing the spirit and excitement of Yom Tov to Jewish children in many corners of Ukraine.
In 27 cities across the east, west, center, and north of the country, the counselors ran interactive programs and handed out special presents for Yom Tov. They also gave out 150 sets of arbah minim, taught the kids about the mitzvah, and helped them put their sets together so they could fulfill it throughout Sukkos.
For most of the boys, this was the first time they had their own set. For many, it was the first time they had ever shaken a lulav and esrog!
Over Sukkos, the boys shook together with their parents and siblings. Boruch Hashem, 196 people shook lulav and esrog over Yom Tov, totaling more than 550 shakes!
We want to thank Cazenove Judaica for supplying fun crafts and gifts.
Thank you to all the communities and Shluchim who coordinated these visits!
