A 58-year-old woman tragically lost her life following an accident on Friday, October 16, at approximately 5:22 p.m. outside 175 North Main Street in Spring Valley.

According to Spring Valley Police, an investigation determined that the woman had exited her vehicle while it was unintentionally left in reverse. As she attempted to get back inside, the vehicle hit her, leaving her critically injured.

Responding officers found the woman unresponsive and immediately began lifesaving efforts. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
