New York Governor Kathy Hochul made several stops across Rockland County on Monday, visiting the Viznitzer community in Monsey and Kaser before traveling to New Square for a meeting with the Skverer Rebbe Shlita, as she continues her reelection campaign ahead of the November 3 general election.

The governor began her Rockland County visit at the Viznitzer Girls School on School Terrace in Monsey, where she was welcomed by students and members of the community.

Hochul then attended a gathering at Vilchovitz Hall, where she met with leaders of the Viznitzer Kehilla, representatives of the Mosdos, and officials from the Village of Kaser. The meeting was part of her ongoing outreach to local community leadership ahead of the upcoming elections.

During her time in Kaser, Hochul also paid a Shiva visit to Village Mayor Elya Pinkasowitz, who is sitting Shiva following the Petira of his brother, Reb Shlomo Moshe Pinkasowitz Z”L, a prominent member of the Viznitzer community.

Following her stops in the Monsey area, the governor traveled to New Square, where she visited the home of the Skverer Rebbe Shlita and met privately with the Rebbe.

The visit comes just over a week after the Skvere Kehilla officially announced its endorsement of Hochul for reelection, adding to the political significance of her stop in New Square.

Monday’s visits highlight the governor’s continued engagement with Rockland County’s Chassidishe communities, where Rabbonim, Mosdos representatives, and community leaders regularly meet with elected officials and candidates to discuss matters affecting local residents.

With Election Day approaching on November 3, Hochul’s stops in Monsey, Kaser, and New Square were part of a broader day of campaign visits to Jewish communities across the region.
