Clarkstown Breaks Ground on New 10,000-Square-Foot All-Inclusive Playground at Lake Nanuet
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, members of the Town Board, elected officials, and local residents gathered Tuesday morning for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on a new all-inclusive playground at Lake Nanuet.
The new 10,000-square-foot playground will feature accessible play equipment designed to accommodate children and families of all abilities, providing an inclusive environment where children can play, interact, and enjoy outdoor activities together.
The project represents another investment in Clarkstown’s recreational facilities, with a focus on making public playgrounds more accessible and welcoming to families throughout the community.
The Town Board previously approved advertising bids for the all-inclusive playground project in May, paving the way for construction.
An anticipated completion date for the new playground has not yet been announced.
