POWERFUL ENDORSEMENT: HaRav Chaim Schabes Urges Monsey Voters to Back Mike Lawler, Joe Rand and Aron Wieder Regardless of Party

Oct 20, 2026·2 min read

HaRav Chaim Schabes, Rav of Knesseth Israel in New Hempstead, has issued a public endorsement of Congressman Mike Lawler, State Senate candidate Joe Rand, and Assemblyman Aron Wieder ahead of the upcoming November elections, urging Monsey and Rockland County residents to unite behind candidates who have demonstrated their commitment to the community.

In a letter addressed to community members and residents of Monsey and Rockland County, HaRav Schabes emphasized the importance of strong political representation, particularly as local families and Mosdos face growing challenges, including rising antisemitism and other issues affecting the community.

HaRav Schabes stressed that voters should prioritize candidates who can effectively represent the community and deliver meaningful results, regardless of political affiliation.

The endorsement is particularly notable as it crosses party lines, backing candidates from both major political parties while emphasizing community interests over partisan considerations.

“As the upcoming elections approach, we must stand together and vote with a unified voice to elect the candidates that are backed by our community leaders and Mosdos,” HaRav Schabes wrote.

The letter concludes with a direct call for eligible voters to participate in the upcoming elections and support Lawler for Congress, Rand for State Senate, and Wieder for State Assembly.

The endorsement adds HaRav Schabes’ voice to the growing political activity across Monsey and Rockland County as candidates seek community support ahead of Election Day on November 3.
