MIR YERUSHALAYIM: Dozens Of Siyumei HaShas Mark 15th Yahrtzeit Of Hagaon Harav Nosson Tzvi Finkel ZT”L
A massive and inspiring gathering was held at the Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim to commemorate the 15th yahrtzeit of its legendary Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Harav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, with dozens of siyumim on Shas Bavli and Talmud Yerushalmi.
The extraordinary maamad brought together bnei Torah and talmidim of the Mir, celebrating the completion of dozens of entire cycles of Shas by dedicated lomdei Torah.
The gathering was attended by Mashgiach Hagaon Harav Don Segal, who joined the special occasion honoring the memory and enduring legacy of the late Rosh Yeshiva.
Harav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, who was niftar in 2011, devoted his life to building the Mir into one of the largest and most prominent Torah institutions in the world. Despite suffering from Parkinson’s disease for many years, he continued delivering shiurim, guiding thousands of talmidim, and expanding the yeshiva with extraordinary determination.
Fifteen years after his petirah, the remarkable display of hasmadah and limud haTorah served as a powerful tribute to his lifelong mission of spreading Torah.
The event was documented for YWN by renowned photographer Shuki Lerer, who captured the moving scenes of the siyumim and the gathering at the Mir.
