Forty years after the Rebbe established the Shluchim Office, its mission of supporting Shluchim and their families continues through programs that strengthen the next generation. One of the most meaningful is the annual Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, bringing thousands of children of Shluchim together in Crown Heights for a weekend of connection, inspiration and friendship.
Today, the Shluchim Office has launched a drive to continue and grow this important and vital initiative.
For a young Shliach, the Kinus offers experiences he will remember for years to come. From going to the Rebbe’s Ohel and Davening at 770 to making new friendships that give him chayus, every moment reminds him that he is part of a worldwide community.
“For children who may be the only Shluchim in their towns, these friendships and shared experiences mean so much,” shared Rabbi Mendy Shemtov, Director of Development. “When children of Shluchim passed by the Rebbe, the Rebbe would often point out that they too are Shluchim themselves. The Kinus is what gives the Young Shluchim the ability to gain a stronger Hiskashrus to the Rebbe and renewed pride in their Shlichus.”
A special fundraising drive is underway to make this experience possible for the next generation. Support Young Shluchim with the Kinus they await year round by giving at give.youngshluchim.org.
