Cow on the Mooo-ve: Runaway Bovine Makes Its Way Onto I-695 (Video)
Baltimore, MD – October 22, 2026 - Udder chaos unfolded when a runaway cow led Baltimore County police on an unexpected chase after escaping from a Pikesville farm. The cow fled through the woods before taking its great escape all the way to the Beltway.
The adventure began around 1 p.m. Wednesday, when the cow escaped from Hidden Waters Farm in the 3200 block of Old Court Road, according to Patch. “When officers located the runaway suspect, it refused to cooperate and fled through the woods,” the Baltimore County Police Department wrote in a post on X.
The chase eventually reached the I-695, where police worked with the cow’s owner to bring the situation under control. Using a rope from a patrol car, officers helped wrangle the animal and took it into custody. The cow remained with police until a farmhand arrived with a trailer to take it home.
No injuries were reported.
