Nassau County Leaders Inspiring Visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel

Oct 23, 2026·2 min read

The growing worldwide influence of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s teachings was evident during a meaningful visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens by prominent Nassau County government leaders.

The delegation included Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti, leader of America’s largest township; Receiver of Taxes Hon. Jeanine C. Driscoll; Chief of Staff Jack Libert; and Nassau County Legislator Hon. Mazi Pilip.

Accompanying the officials were Rabbi Zalman Wolowik of the Five Towns and Rabbi Anchelle Perl of Mineola, who guided the visitors through the significance of the Ohel and shared insights into the Rebbe’s extraordinary legacy.

A highlight of the visit was an in-depth discussion of the Rebbe’s teachings on Divine Providence and the sacred responsibility of government leaders to use their positions to uplift others, promote kindness, and serve every citizen with compassion and integrity.

“The Rebbe taught that leadership is not measured simply by the authority we hold, but by the lives we touch,” said Rabbi Perl. “Public service is a G-d-given opportunity to make a lasting difference.”

Rabbi Wolowik shared the reflection: “The Rebbe believed that no encounter is accidental and no opportunity to do good should be overlooked. Those entrusted with leadership have a unique ability to bring blessing and positive change to countless lives.”

The visit underscored how the Rebbe’s vision continues to transcend religious and political boundaries, inspiring leaders to recognize the spiritual dimension of public service.

The enduring message: Every person has a mission, every leader has a responsibility, and every act of goodness can help transform the world.
