TRAGEDY IN BNEI BRAK: 3-Year-Old Boy Found Lifeless In His Home On Shabbos

Oct 24, 2026·1 min read

A terrible tragedy struck the Chareidi community in Bnei Brak on Shabbos after a three-and-a-half-year-old boy, Yehuda Neufeld z”l, was found unconscious in his home and was tragically niftar.

Emergency responders were called to the family’s home on Chashav Sofer Street on Shabbos morning after receiving a report of a young child who had been found unresponsive.

Rescue personnel rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, they were forced to pronounce the child’s death.

Following the tragedy, the child’s body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine.

ZAKA volunteers arrived at the family’s home during Shabbos, providing assistance and accompanying the grieving family through the difficult hours.

Immediately after Shabbos, ZAKA personnel, under the direction of operations commander Yechiel Goldman, continued assisting the family and arranging the transfer of the child’s body for kevurah.

A ZAKA ambulance was dispatched to transport the niftar ahead of the levaya.

The levaya of Yehuda Neufeld z”l is scheduled to take place on Motzaei Shabbos at 10:30 p.m. at the Yarkon Cemetery, Petach Tikvah Gate.
