With tremendous sorrow, Monsey Scoop regrets to inform the community of the petira of R’ Baruch Avrohom Loffler Z”L, approximately 32 years old,  who was niftar on Thursday, after fighting for his life for more than 16 months following the horrific drunk driving accident in Spring Valley.

R’ Baruch Avrohom Z”L was the son of R’ Yaakov Yosef Loffler and the son-in-law of R’ Moshe Mordchai Eisenbach.

The tragic accident occurred on Motzei Shabbos, June 14, 2025, on Old Nyack Turnpike near Kennedy Park, when an intoxicated driver struck four pedestrians, including three children. The accident claimed the life of 4-year-old Golda Eisenbach A”H, daughter of Spring Valley Village Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, and left R’ Baruch Avrohom critically injured. Two other children were also injured.

R’ Baruch Avrohom Z”L was an active volunteer with Catskills Chaverim until the tragic accident, dedicating his time and efforts to assisting others in need. His involvement in the organization reflected his commitment to helping fellow community members.

Since that devastating night, the community has continued to daven for his recovery, with countless heartfelt tefillos. Tragically, despite his prolonged battle for life, he was niftar, leaving the community mourning another heartbreaking loss from the same accident.

R’ Baruch Avrohom Z”L leaves behind his wife and a family of young children, who are now facing an unimaginable loss.

Details regarding the Levaya will be published as they become available.
