Saudi Arabia: At least 12 people have been killed and 50 injured in a Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, according to officials cited by The New York Times. The attack on Saturday follows a series of strikes on the airport by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels earlier this week, which damaged a passenger aircraft and caused widespread flight disruption.

UK: Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marched through central London today, with the Metropolitan Police confirming 20 arrests. The demonstration, organised by the Palestine Coalition, took place three days after the third anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel. According to the Met, those arrested included six people suspected of criminal damage after climbing onto the Battle of Britain memorial, seven for breaching protest conditions, two for displaying placards supporting the banned group Palestine Action, and one following an alleged Nazi salute.

US: President Donald Trump has said he thinks “it’s time for Ukraine to get a new president”, responding to Volodymyr Zelensky’s criticism of a US diesel deal with Russia. The Ukrainian president warned that the agreement to release millions of tonnes of Russian diesel into the US would provide Moscow with money to continue its war against Ukraine, calling it a gift to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Saturday, Trump accused Zelensky of wanting to “make problems for the world” by continuing to authorise attacks on Russian oil refineries. “He’d better damn well stop,” Trump said, before suggesting Ukraine should “get a new leader who can make a deal”.

UK: A man has been mauled to death by a tiger after entering its enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster. South Yorkshire Police said emergency services were called at around 1.35pm, but despite efforts to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
