The NYPD is investigating after two people were struck by pellets fired from a pellet gun near 4501 Fort Hamilton Parkway at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Shabbos morning. Three individuals involved in a gypsy jewelry scam operation were arrested Thursday after a joint investigation by Boro Park and Flatbush Shomrim. Following an attempted scam in Flatbush, volunteers identified the suspect vehicle and entered it into Shomrim's alert system. The vehicle was later spotted in Boro Park, where volunteers observed the suspects carrying out another scam and coordinated with the NYPD, leading to the arrest of all three suspects. Jewelry believed to be connected to the scams was recovered. Thanks to the teamwork of Boro Park and Flatbush Shomrim volunteers, a suspect who stole an electric scooter this morning near Avenue F and East 4th Street was arrested by the NYPD at Avenue M and East 3rd Street. The stolen scooter was recovered and returned to its grateful owner.
