🇺🇸 - Ed Sheeran Addresses Tour Fallout At Lincoln Financial Field Ed Sheeran took the stage Saturday night at the Linc for his first show since Macklemore was pulled from the Loop Tour. He opened alone, after support acts and his backing band dropped out following the New Jersey concerts where Macklemore said “Free Palestine.” Sheeran told the crowd he was “so, so sorry,” said he never wanted to be an activist musician, and added that he wants his shows to be about unity, not division. Outside the stadium, protesters waved flags and chanted near Broad and Pattison as fans headed in. The start time was pushed to 8 p.m. after the lineup collapsed, and Sheeran played the night as a one-man show. He called the Oct. 7 attack in Israel horrific and described the situation in Gaza as catastrophic, unjustifiable, and disproportionate.
