She already has a GoFundMe link which has collected $56,000 so far. Lee was wearing a keffiyeh around her waist and claims the confrontation was provoked after the man approached her and questioned her about it. When confronted about calling him a “Zionist pig,” Lee did not deny it. She repeated the phrase on camera while also accusing the man of being racist. The video exploded after billionaire Bill Ackman retweeted JBN’s post to his millions of followers and tagged KPMG. Lee is now pointing to Ackman’s amplification of JBN’s video and arguing that the clip lacked “context.” But what context changes the words captured on camera? Whatever happened before the recording may explain how the confrontation began. It does not erase what was said once the camera was rolling. Lee now says she has lost her job following the viral confrontation.
