What an amazing night at the Misameach event at Nickelodeon! Although Misameach’s new building campaign is underway, and taking place this week be”H, they had the event running with even more excitement. For families who are going through challenging times, this Misameach event is a highlight of their year. These families wait for the midwinter event from the moment the one before is finished.
This year’s Misameach midwinter event at The American Dream Mall was an incredible success. It was truly a dream come true for the hundreds of families involved.
Misameach families enjoyed the spectacular event free of charge thank to the generous event sponsors. Mr. and Mrs. Chuny Herzka as well as L’chaim American Dream for making the event possible. Delicious, hot supper was beautifully provided by Greenwald Caterers and Epstein’s Meat, and additional snacks were provided by Golden Fluff. Also thanks to Star Therapeutics for their support.
The evening featured a spectacular concert performed pro bono by Simcha Leiner and Shmueli Ungar. They were also joined by Yechiel Landman and child prodigy Elimelech Fishman. The volunteers danced up a storm and the room was pumping with excitement. Uncle Moishy entertained the children with his signature songs and love. The sound and coordination were expertly handled by Moishy Zuckerman of Stellar Production. The concert was accompanied by the Mendy Hershkowitz Band and Pesach Nestlebaum.
The event was graced by the presence of Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser who gave much needed Chizuk to the families. Assemblyman Avi Schnall joined us at the event and presented plaques to longtime volunteer Dave Franken and to other dedicated volunteers.
Families were able to take home special memories thanks to Magnet Memory who provided professional family photos. Throughout the park, clowns, balloon artists, jugglers, and magicians all coordinated by Psachya Lowenberg entertained the crowds as they enjoyed the rides. The kids loved getting their face paint done by a real professional.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication of Dr. Zemel, Hatzalah Statewide and their medical team, Chaveirim of Bergen County, and all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day amazing for all.
