One of the newer shuls to emerge and grow rapidly is the Birchas Avrohom Vien Shul on 50th Street. In a relatively short time, the kehilla has developed into a vibrant and active center of tefillah and Torah, serving the needs of its growing membership.

Founded under the leadership of Harav Gips, the shul was built on a strong foundation. Over the years, it has continued to flourish, operating at full strength with daily tefillos, regular shiurim, a strong kevius itim, and a full range of kehilla services that support its members.

Among the most impactful elements of the shul’s growth are the shiurim delivered by the Rav. Known for his exceptional Torah knowledge and the way he speaks with clarity and strength, Harav Gips has earned a reputation as a compelling and insightful maggid shiur. His shiurim have become well known not only within the walls of the shul, but far beyond, drawing listeners from across the community.

A highlight among the many shiurim is the daily evening Mishnah Berurah shiur. Participants do more than simply learn the text; they gain deep understanding of the halachos and minhagim discussed, along with practical insights that bring clarity and relevance to everyday life. The Rav’s clear explanations and thoughtful approach enable mispalelim to acquire lasting halachic knowledge in a meaningful and impactful way.
