Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani met with Houthi spokesman Mohammad Abdulsalam in Muscat, Oman, during his visit to the country on Tuesday.

The meeting occurred while Larijani held talks with Omani officials amid Oman-mediated indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The meeting took place despite U.S. calls for Iran to halt support for its terror proxies, including the Houthis.
