Trump: ‘Board of Peace’ Nations Commit Thousands of Troops, $5 Billion for Gaza Stabilization
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that member nations of the “Board of Peace” have officially committed to deploying thousands of personnel to a new International Stabilization Force in Gaza, signaling a major shift in the post-war management of the region.
In a statement released on Truth Social, the President revealed that the coalition’s commitment extends beyond security personnel. Member nations have also pledged more than $5 billion to fund humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip.
Trump, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Peace, underscored the historic nature of the initiative. “The Board… will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History,” he stated, highlighting the administration’s success in rallying international partners to share the burden of stabilizing the Middle East.
The announcement comes just days before the Board of Peace is scheduled to convene in Washington. The meeting, set for this coming Thursday, is expected to finalize details regarding the deployment of forces and the allocation of the pledged funds.
This development follows a busy week for the President, who visited the Fort Bragg U.S. Army base on Friday to honor special forces involved in a separate military operation in Venezuela earlier this year.
For Israel, the establishment of an International Stabilization Force funded and manned by a broad coalition is seen as a critical element in ensuring long-term security on the southern border without necessitating a permanent IDF presence in every sector of the enclave. The financial pledge also suggests a strong international commitment to preventing a vacuum of governance in Gaza.
