New Jersey travel ban
- New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill says she is instituting a travel ban on private vehicles across the state from 9pm Sunday night until 7am Monday morning.

NYC travel ban
Anyone going either from Lakewood to Brooklyn or from Brooklyn to Lakewood will mot be able to travel on the roads of NYC after 9pm. Plan ahead or sleep over

New York City ordered a full shutdown of streets, highways and bridges Sunday ahead of the major snowstorm expected to hit the Northeast. Zohran Mamdani said the travel ban runs from 9 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday, exempting only emergency and essential workers.

6:00am the National Weather Service has increased snow amounts for the greater Lakewood area up to 30 inches from Long Branch to Toms River with a 24"-30" forecast.

As of 6 AM Sun: Light precip is spreading into the region. Mainly rain at the onset from around I-78 and south, then precip will become heavier and transition to snow starting late morning and into the afternoon. Snow for most areas by evening. Latest briefing:
