We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Shulem Oberlander, a longtime Boro Park resident who was renowned for his piety and ehrlichkeit.  He was 69 years of age and had battened a terrible illness. 

The niftar was among the esteemed viznitzer chassidim in Boro Park, and despite his terrible suffering went on with a life of Torah and avodas Hashem. 

An acquaintance described Reb Shulem as “ah tzaddik fin ah Yid.” 

Together with his eishes chayil, he established a beautiful Torah family, with a number of askonim among them. 

He was sadly stricken with a terrible illness and suffered through it with great Emunah. 

The levaya will take place at 10:30 in the Viznitzer Beis Medrash in Boro Park and at 12:30 in Monsey.
