Feb 25, 2026·2 min read
Countries around the world are issuing travel advisories to their diplomats stationed in the Middle East, to their diplomats’ families, and to any of their citizens who are abroad, with many evacuating their personnel, advising citizens in the area to leave while flights are still available, and warning against travel to Iran.
Following is a list of European countries and their advisories, in plain English:
- Cyprus: If you’re in Iran, leave at once. If you’re not in Iran, don’t travel there.
- Poland: All Polish citizens in Iran should leave immediately.
- Sweden: Don’t travel to Iran and if you’re there, leave. Don’t expect us to evacuate you when it gets dangerous.
- Serbia: Leave Iran as soon as possible. Tensions are escalating and the security situation might get worse.
Following is a list of non-European countries and their advisories, in plain English:
- Australia: Family members of diplomats in Israel and Iran should leave as soon as possible. To diplomats and their families stationed in other countries in the Middle East, Australia is offering voluntary evacuations. Australian citizens in Lebanon and Israel should leave while flights are available.
- The United States: The U.S. embassy is evacuating all non-essential staff and their families from Lebanon and warned American citizens of Iran to “leave Iran now.”
- Singapore: Don’t travel to Iran now.
- India: Indian citizens in Iran should use all available means of transportation to get out pronto.
