“Die, Jews, Die!”: Poster-Ripper Convicted in Shocking NYC Hate Crime Spree

Feb 26, 2026·2 min read

A man who harassed a couple photographing him tearing down hostage posters and who punched a random woman in the face has been convicted of a string of anti-Jewish, anti-white,and anti-female hate crimes in New York City Wednesday.

After photographing him tearing down the hostage posters — at the time, the hostages were still being held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip — Skiboky Stora, a Black man, followed the couple, shouting anti-white and anti-Jewish insults, including “Die, Jews, die!”

Nearly two years ago, Stora randomly punched a woman who was walking down a street in Manhattan. She was knocked down and suffered pain and swelling on the left side of her head, according to prosecutors. The woman, who was 23 years old at the time, posted about her experience on TikTok, drawing widespread attention. Others described similar attacks.

The 42-year-old represented himself in court.

Despite video showing him harassing the couple and videos he recorded of himself harassing and intimidating white people, Stora declared in his closing statement, “I never did anything racist to anybody, and I never did anything discriminating against anybody, and I never tried to injure anybody.” He failed to convince the jury of his innocence and was placed in custody. His sentencing is scheduled for April 14.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg issued a statement after the conviction, saying, “The victims were met with both violence and harassment simply because of who they are. Hate crimes strike at the core of our city’s values and sense of safety.”
