An Iranian ballistic missile caused a direct hit on a residential building and shelter in Beit Shemesh, with Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service confirming eight fatalities. This is the deadliest single incident in Israel since the current wave of attacks began.

Several others were lightly and seriously injured, including children. Rescue operations, including search teams and helicopters, continue at the scene amid partial building collapse and concerns over additional trapped individuals.

The Home Front Command says it will investigate the circumstances of the impact, including the integrity of the shelter.
