Nine people were killed in a direct missile strike in Beit Shemesh. Twenty-eight others were injured, some of them children. Two are in serious condition and two are in moderate condition, while the rest sustained light injuries. At least some of the victims were inside a shelter at the time of the strike.

Moshe Horowitz, David Lef, and Yechiel Rosenberg, volunteer medics with United Hatzalah, said: “We are dealing with a widespread scene of destruction across several buildings. Tragically, a number of victims in critical condition were located inside the structures. Medical assistance was also provided to additional casualties in varying conditions, some of them children. Support was given as well to residents suffering from shock who live near the scene.”

According to the initial investigation, the missile made a direct impact on a shelter. As a result of the blast wave, a nearby building was also damaged.
