Reuters reports that debris from an intercepted drone struck the facade of Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Towers complex, which houses the Israeli embassy alongside other foreign missions, after loud sounds were heard across the emirate.
Abu Dhabi’s official media office said the incident caused minor injuries to a woman and her child; Israeli sources are reporting two Israelis were lightly injured in the impact.
The strike underscores Iran’s widening retaliation beyond Israel and U.S. military targets—using drones and missiles to rattle Gulf hubs and pressure allies through disruption of commerce, aviation, and daily life.
