IAF Drops 2,000 Bombs in 30 Hours, Secures Air Superiority Over Tehran and Intercepts 50+ Iranian Drones

Since the outbreak of fighting with Iran, Israeli Air Force jets have released more than 2,000 munitions in hundreds of strikes targeting Iranian regime infrastructure and military assets, the IDF reports.

That figure represents roughly half the total expended during the entire 12-day war in June 2025 — compressed into just 30 hours.

Within that timeframe, the IAF conducted over 700 sorties. According to the military, aerial superiority was secured within the first 24 hours after extensive strikes dismantled multiple Iranian air defense systems in western Iran.

Israeli aircraft are now deploying “stand-in” munitions over Tehran — bombs delivered directly above their targets rather than launched from long range.

The IDF says it intends to preserve air dominance while continuing operations against regime-linked sites in the capital.

“In recent hours, Air Force aircraft have operated with full air superiority over Tehran, striking and destroying numerous objectives,” the military states.

Targets reportedly included ballistic missile launchers, air defense batteries, and command headquarters.

Concurrently, Israeli fighter jets, helicopters, and air defense units have intercepted more than 50 drones launched from Iran toward Israel, the IDF adds.
