Suspected Hezbollah Rockets Hit Northern Israel

Mar 1, 2026·1 min read

Sirens blared across northern Israel late Sunday night after rockets were fired from Lebanon, the IDF reported.

Alerts sounded in Haifa and surrounding areas, as well as multiple locations across the Upper Galilee.

The IDF said the details of the launches are still under investigation, while Magen David Adom confirmed it had not received any reports of injuries.

Security sources tell Channel 12 that Hezbollah carried out the launch and that a particularly “harsh response” will follow.

It remains unclear who carried out the attacks, but Hebrew media outlets have attributed the rocket fire to Hezbollah, though the group has not officially claimed responsibility.

If confirmed, this would be the first time Hezbollah has joined Iran in striking Israel, as it stayed out of the previous Israel-Iran conflict in June.

It would also mark the first rocket attacks by Hezbollah on Israel since the U.S.-brokered Israel-Lebanon ceasefire took effect in November 2024.
