‘THE BIG ONE IS COMING’: Trump Warns Iran Hasn’t ‘Seen Nothin’ Yet’
According to President Donald Trump, the Iranians ain’t seen nothin’ yet. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Monday, Trump said the biggest wave of strikes is coming soon.
“We’re knocking the crap out of them,” Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “I think it’s going very well. It’s very powerful. We’ve got the greatest military in the world and we’re using it.”
The president said he expected the war to possibly wrap up in less time than the four weeks initially planned for the operation.
“I don’t want to see it go on too long. I always thought it would be four weeks. And we’re a little ahead of schedule,” he said, adding that the United States is doing more behind the scenes to help the Iranian people topple the regime.
Indicating that worse was yet to come, he added, “We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon.”
Trump said that he was caught off guard by the Iranian response, which included widespread strikes across the region targeting Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
“We were surprised,” Trump said. “We told them, ‘We’ve got this,’ and now they want to fight. And they’re aggressively fighting. They were going to be very little involved and now they insist on being involved.”
He suggested that this unexpected retaliation galvanized a response from Arab leaders.
The Iranians “shot into a hotel, they shot into an apartment house,” he said. “It just made them [Arab leaders] angry. They love us, but they were watching. There was no reason for them to be involved.”
But he also said that countries in the region supported preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
“You have to understand, they were living under that dark cloud for years,” he said. “That’s why you could never have peace.”
Trump said that obliterating top leadership put the regime in a precarious position.
“We don’t know who the leadership is,” he said. “We don’t know who they’ll pick. Maybe they’ll get lucky and get someone who knows what they’re doing.”
“They don’t even know who’s leading them now,” he added.
“Those were the leaders, and some of them were being considered,” he said. “We don’t know who’s leading the country now. They don’t know who’s leading. It’s a little like the unemployment line.”
