The Lakewood Police Department yesterday congratulated its newest officers on their graduation from the Ocean County Police Academy Class #123.

Graduating and joining the department are Ptl. J. Simpkins #471, Ptl. B. Gomez #473, Ptl. J. Herbert #474, Ptl. N. Inneo #476, and Ptl. B. Austin #478.

Officials said the recruits demonstrated dedication and discipline throughout their training at the Ocean County Police Academy, completing the rigorous program and officially beginning their careers in law enforcement.

Chief Gregory Meyer stated, “This is a proud day for the Lakewood Police Department. These officers have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone. Their commitment to integrity, professionalism, and service reflects the values of our department. We are confident they will serve the residents of Lakewood with honor and distinction.
