Netanyahu Visits U.S. F-22 Raptor Stealth Fighters at Ovda Airbase as Israel–U.S. Air Forces Coordinate Strikes on Iran and Hezbollah

Mar 5, 2026·1 min read

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Ovda Airbase in southern Israel on Thursday, where he met Israeli Air Force crews and U.S. personnel deployed alongside them as part of Operation “Roaring Lion.” During the visit, Netanyahu was shown the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 Raptor stealth fighters currently stationed at the base.

The F-22 — one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world — specializes in air dominance, stealth operations, and intercepting enemy aircraft and missiles. Netanyahu described the cooperation between the Israeli and American militaries, particularly their air forces, as historic, as joint operations continue against Iranian regime targets and terrorist elements in Lebanon. He added that while significant achievements have been made, the mission is still ongoing.
