The two bills, which former Governor Phil Murphy pocket-vetoed on his final day in office, aims to codify the Attorney General’s 2018 Immigrant Trust Directive into law, an order that restricts when state, county, and local law enforcement can aid federal immigration authorities, while the other limits information‑sharing with federal authorities.(one jersey) Assemblyman Schnall previously voted yes to both.
