The measures would limit cooperation with ICE, restrict sharing of driver data and immigration status, and require police officers to identify themselves while limiting mask use during arrests.
About 100 people rallied outside the New Jersey State House protesting vote. Rep Paul Kanitra urged Mikie Sherrill to reject three bills that would limit cooperation with ICE and expand protections for undocumented immigrants, calling the measures extreme. Paul Kanitra claimed Democrats support policies benefiting Illegal immigrants that cost New Jersey over $7 billion annually. He also argued they rely on undocumented residents for census counts to maintain legislative and congressional representation, accusing them of ignoring the financial impact on taxpayers.

At last night’s Mir dinner in Bellworks, the roshei yeshiva and hanhala traveled specially from Eretz Yisrael to help raise funds for the yeshiva as the dinnerwas plannedfor this week. Guests enjoyed a full exhibit celebrating the legacy of the Mashgiach, Rav Yerucham Levovitz, and received a commemorative sefer. Board members noted that even in these turbulent times, the fundraising surpassed previous campaigns. One honoree was granted the amud of the yeshiva, where tefillos have been recited for 50 years.

Air Canada Express Flight 8646 struck an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting vehicle after landing on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 22. The CRJ-900 was arriving from Montreal. The FAA and NTSB will investigate.
