Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed he spoke earlier today with President Donald Trump, saying there may be an opportunity to turn recent military gains into a deal without compromising Israel’s core security interests.

“President Trump believes there is an opportunity to leverage the tremendous achievements we have reached alongside the US military to realize the goals of the war through an agreement that will safeguard our vital interests,” Netanyahu said.

At the same time, Netanyahu made clear the fighting is far from over.

“We are continuing to strike in both Iran and Lebanon. We are smashing the missile program and the nuclear program, and we continue to deal severe blows to Hezbollah.”

He added that Israel recently eliminated two additional nuclear scientists and emphasized that operations remain ongoing.

“We will safeguard our vital interests under all circumstances.”
