Dershowitz: Trump Would Have Prevented Holocaust, Calls Iran War “Most Important Since 1939”

Mar 25, 2026·2 min read

Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz is raising alarm over the ongoing war with Iran, calling it one of the most consequential conflicts in modern history and drawing stark comparisons to the rise of Nazi Germany.

Speaking on the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Dershowitz warned of catastrophic consequences if the regime is not stopped, framing the current conflict as a critical moment not just for Israel, but for the world.

Alan Dershowitz:

“This is the most important war since 1939, since Nazi Germany.

If Iran is allowed to develop nuclear bomb, he (the ayatollah) will do what Hitler did and there will be millions and millions of deaths.

Had President Trump been in charge in 1935, 1936, I think the Holocaust would have been prevented.

I think he would have gone in after Nazi Germany, he would have destroyed it the way he is destroying Nazi Iran
And the holocaust would have been prevented.

We’re preventing another Holocaust, a nuclear Holocaust that Iran would clearly inflict, not only on Israel, but on Europe and ultimately on the USA.”

His comments have sparked intense reaction online, with supporters and critics clashing over the historical comparison and the role of U.S. leadership in confronting global threats.

The remarks come as tensions continue to escalate in the region, with growing concern over Iran’s nuclear program and its potential global impact.
