IDF Strikes Iran’s Underwater Naval Hub, Cripples Submarine Program
The IDF said Wednesday that it carried out strikes Tuesday on an undergwater research facility in Isfahan. The Israeli Air Force, using intelligence provided by the IDF, conducted a wave of strikes on the regime’s underwater research center.
The military explained that the research center is crucial to the design, development and production of submarines and support systems for the Iranian Navy. “In addition, the regime produced various models of unmanned vessels at the site” and is the only place in Iran responsible for producing naval equipment, the IDF said.
The strike deeply degraded Iran’s ability to produce submarines and support systems and conduct maintenance, repairs and improvements to existing ones, according to the military.
“The IDF will continue to advance its strikes on the regime’s military industries in order to degrade production capabilities built over several years,” the IDF vowed in a statement.
